You can't be tied to your home computer all the time and often times are away. Remote access allows you the ability to monitor your system. Your home computer must be connected to the internet and accessible, so if you run a firewall you may need to allow permission for PowerDashboard application to be accessible to the outside world.

For renewable energy installers, this also provides you the ability to remotely monitor client installations. Allowing you to diagnose issues *before* you travel to the client site! This saves you time and your clients money!

Remote access to PowerDashboard is controlled using an Access Control List (ACL). This ACL restricts access to specific user logins, in addition you can limit functionality for each user.

The following functionality can be given to users

	Create detailed transaction log.
	Allow access to run-time data.
	Allow download access to log files.
	Allow ability capture real-time XanBus messages.
	Allow remote turbine shutdown/restart

For security reasons PowerDashboard does not allow uploading of files onto the host computer, and it only allows access to the logs directory and below.

A remote access Smart Client program (PDSmartClient) is included at no extra charge and is free for installers to download and use!

The PDSmartClient gives you the ability to easily monitor your system, it even includes our famous Meters page and a fully functional Dashboard graphic user interface (GUI). So you see almost the exact screens that you run at home!
